When she graduated in 1992 Amanda Bossard began her research in marine biology at Anchorage in Alaska at the University of Alaska Pacific. Bossard started her career in commercial seafood at the age of 1999, after she began working as a crew member on the F/V Sunset the 65' halibut schooner turned into a salmon tender for Murat Aritan, an commercial fisherman from 1993.
